Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art is the most recent release by James Nestor. It was met with critical acclaim and in my opinion, was well warranted.
As a function that we rarely give a second (or maybe even first) thought to, breathing is often overlooked. That is until our attention is called to it. In my case, I noticed that I was regularly holding my breath when stressed. Eek!
Determined to curb this habbit, I set out to be more mindful and really focus on my breathing. I discovered this book along the way and absolutely loved it. I have recommended it to multiple people who have enjoyed it as well so you don’t have to take my word. At just over 300 pages it is a relatively quick read but is also on Audible if you prefer to listen to it.
If you have read it, be sure to comment and let me know what you thought of it.
